Jonathan
McFall is a commercial artist who has received seven awards in the past
three years, including awards from Communication Arts, American Illustration,
Best 200 Illustrators and his work has also been recently published
in Computer Arts, Artbook and the Guardian. Jonathan
combines classical drawings skills with bright colours and uses computer
programs to help create and combine styles and effects. This is a reflection
of Pop Culture for Jonathan and his inspiration is saturated with years
of experimental drawing and painting techniques. The process of creating
experimental images has long been the key to understanding Jonathan's
illustrations.
After six years of study at Manchester Metropolitan University Jonathan
finished his Masters in Communication Design and graduated in 2001.
He has now worked with many clients and agents worldwide, including:
Images.com, Farm, Lemonade Illustration and now Kandibox. Jonathan is
also a teacher at one of London's top fashion schools, Istituto Marangoni,
and volunteers at Community Focus in North London. Jonathan's work may
be seen this summer at the Lebook exhibition in London and New York.
